Resubmit or re-file?

Before making updates or corrections to the 2015 ACA Transitional Reinsurance Program Annual Enrollment and Contributions Submission Form, it is important to understand the difference between resubmission and re-filing, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Resubmission: Use only when supporting documentation (.CVS file) must be corrected and resubmitted for the form.

Re-filing: Use to correct or replace an existing filing under the following circumstances:

• ACH debit failure
• Banking information change
• Error in annual enrollment count

In some instances, the original filing must be canceled prior to re-filing.
